Becoming a mum has been an amazing experience, something I had always dreamed of. The reality of becoming a mum however, was quite different to the dream and I felt unprepared the moment we were released home with this tiny baby with no manual or real guidance.
In hindsight, I found that the antenatal course Chris and I attended focused on birth but not much about what to do once you have this little bundle at home… What do we do now?! Despite our laid back and relaxed attitudes we panicked a bit!
I was determined to find out what help is out there and that’s when I found The Natal Family. I now wish that I had been armed with some post-birth information and practical advice that the BabyNatal Workshops offer however sadly I didn’t know they existed until after Astrid was in our lives.
My experience so far has taught me that absolutely every pregnancy, birth, baby and family are unique. I was drawn to train with The Natal Family because I love the ethos of empowering new parents, in a non-biased way, providing new parents with the confidence to make decisions giving their baby the best start in life. As a BabyNatal practitioner I hope to be able to alleviate any panic or worries you may have about caring for your newborn; I will provide information and options – giving you the confidence, as a parent, to make the choices and decisions which work for your baby and your family.
Autumn 2018 course dates to follow shortly.
